vHarbour Air
Virtual Harbour Air is a virtual airline inspired by real world coastal and seaplane operations along the Pacific Northwest, modeled closely on the day to day flying conducted by Harbour Air and similar operators. Our focus is on short range VFR flying, water aerodromes, busy harbor environments, and scenic coastal routes connecting communities such as Vancouver Harbour, Victoria Inner Harbour, Nanaimo, Whistler, the Gulf Islands, and Seattle. Operations emphasize precision flying, situational awareness, and decision making in complex airspace and weather, rather than long haul airline procedures.
As a vHarbour Air pilot, you will operate a fleet centered on classic and modern workhorses of coastal aviation such as the DHC 2 Beaver and DHC 6 Twin Otter. Flights are designed to replicate real schedules and charter style missions including commuter services, tourism flights, cargo runs, and special scenic operations. Routes are short, immersive, and rewarding, encouraging pilots to fly low level, manage water operations, and interact with controlled and uncontrolled airspace realistically, including VATSIM participation when available.
Our ACARS system tracks your flights, hours, and achievements while giving you the freedom to fly at your own pace. There are no rigid activity requirements, allowing pilots to balance realism with flexibility. Whether you are completing a quick harbor hop or a multi leg coastal tour, every flight contributes meaningfully to your pilot profile and progression within the airline.
vHarbour Air places a strong emphasis on learning and professionalism. Pilots are provided with checklists, pilot reference guides, standard operating procedures, and operational documentation tailored to floatplane and coastal flying. These resources are designed to support both new and experienced sim pilots, reinforcing good habits, safe procedures, and continuous improvement. At vHarbour Air, a good pilot is always learning, and we ensure you have the tools and knowledge needed to fly confidently and realistically in one of the most unique flying environments in virtual aviation.
vHeliJet
The HeliJet division of Virtual Harbour Air recreates modern helicopter and charter jet operations found in the Pacific Northwest, inspired by real world HeliJet International services. This branch focuses on fast paced point to point travel, premium passenger transport, and time critical missions linking city centers, regional airports, and coastal destinations. Operations emphasize professionalism, precision, and efficiency, offering a different but complementary experience to our floatplane network.
Helicopter operations center on scheduled and charter style services between major hubs such as Vancouver Harbour, Victoria Inner Harbour, and surrounding regional locations. Pilots will experience realistic urban heliport operations, confined area approaches, controlled airspace transitions, and weather driven decision making. These flights mirror real commuter helicopter services, requiring strong situational awareness, accurate navigation, and smooth aircraft handling in busy terminal environments.
Alongside helicopter flying, the HeliJet division includes a dedicated private charter jet operation featuring aircraft such as the Cessna Citation and Learjet 35. These jets represent the executive and medical charter side of coastal aviation, flying short to medium range routes between regional airports and major business centers. Operations focus on efficient IFR procedures, rapid turnarounds, and professional flight planning while maintaining flexibility typical of on demand charter services.
The jet charter side allows pilots to experience a blend of airline discipline and private aviation freedom. Flights may include executive transport, special assignment charters, or time sensitive repositioning legs. Routes are designed to feel purposeful and realistic without becoming long haul airline operations, keeping each mission engaging and accessible.
All HeliJet flights are tracked through our ACARS system, recording hours, routes, and achievements while allowing pilots to fly at their own pace. vHarbour Air provides dedicated checklists, pilot reference guides, and standard operating procedures tailored to helicopter and business jet operations. These resources support continuous learning and encourage realistic, professional flying. Whether you are lifting off from a downtown heliport or cruising a Citation across the coast, the HeliJet division offers a refined and immersive virtual aviation experience focused on precision, flexibility, and modern operations.
